If I Close My Eyes

If I Close My Eyes tells the story of a girl in a city measured by a giant eye. By closing her eyes, she rediscovers sound, touch, and smell, transforms from a watched shadow into a sensing self.

The adult artist creates original picture books through collage, colored pencil, watercolor, and digital media, focusing on bodily perception, self-identity, and the gaze of the outside world. This work was completed under the guidance of Teacher Mia.
