This work is inspired by Agnès Varda’s documentary Faces Places.
In the film, the artist JR photographs a wide range of people’s faces, enlarges them, and pastes them onto buildings or objects. In order to stay true to the spirit of the documentary, I also chose collage as my medium to recreate some of its scenes. This approach preserves the authenticity of the work while avoiding a mechanical reproduction of reality.Original work, not a reproduction.
