Life at the edge of the forest is always slow. Water must be drawn from the well, fruit must be picked by hand. Chicks and ducklings are frequent visitors, along with little goats that come sneaking in for a treat. Days flow as gently as a stream—calm and uneventful, yet warm and reassuring. In such a quiet place, all we need to do is eat well and sleep well. This work is inspired by the film Seclusion Near a Forest.
